The Disney Channel's wildly popular "High School Musical" has become the first full-length feature film available for purchase on Apple iTunes.

The movie musical is available in its entirety at the Music Store for $9.99, but users can also download "High School Musical" music videos for 99 cents each.

"High School Musical"--directed and choreographed by Kenny Ortega (the film Newsies, Marilyn: An American Fable) has broken a number of records. First shown on the Disney channel on January 20th, 2005, the movie led to a soundtrack that within seven weeks of its release, climbed to #1 on the Billboard pop chart--the first time that an original movie TV soundtrack has done so and the first time that a TV soundtrack has made the chart's top spot since 1986's "Miami Vice" soundtrack.

Zac Efron, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale , Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman, Alyson Reed (Marilyn: An American Fable, A Chorus Line film), Bart Johnson and Joey Miyashima are featured in "High School Musical"'s cast. In the movie musical, jock Troy and bookworm Gabriella buck expectations to audition for the high school musical.

A "High School Musical" sequel is in the works, while the original will re-air on the Disney Channel on March 23 at 8 PM ET. A DVD is set for release on May 23rd.
