The rock musical "The Who's Tommy" ends its run at The Media Theatre May 22. Peter Kriss portrays the title role in the show based on the famed rock group's legendary concept album from the late 1960's.

Tommy is a boy who suffers traumatic events to become catatonic, shutting himself off from the world around him. After meeting with the Acid Queen (played by Tony nominated actress Ann Crumb) he finds he has a knack for pinball, becoming a champion player and inspiring everyone around him.

Songs include the hits "See Me, Feel Me" and "Pinball Wizard" in the Tony winning score. Patrick Ludt portrays Captain Walker, while Anastasia Lange is Mrs. Walker. Philadelphia's JP Dunphy is a member of the ensemble, as well as Carly J. Mooney, Nicole D'Angelo, and Eric Longo.

Moms are free on Mother's Day (May 8) with the purchase of a regularly priced adult ticket, and a special LGBT night will be held May 11 (with private reception before the show).

Jesse Cline directs, with music direction by Tom Fosnocht. A live rock band is onstage, accompanying the performers throughout the show which also features three large video screens.
