Photo Flash: First Look at Actors' NET of Bucks County's THE MAN WHO BOUGHT A COUNTRY

The Actors' NET of Bucks County production of The Man Who Bought a Country is slated to open on August 23rd. Get a first look at the show in the photos below!

NET Co-Founder and General Manager Joe Doyle, who wrote the book, music and lyrics for the musical about the life and times of Founding Father Robert Morris – for whom the Borough of Morrisville is named – said one of his lead performers had to withdraw from the show due to “personal reasons” just days before the scheduled opening. The role has been recast and requires sufficient rehearsal time for the new actress.

“While I am sad to announce Kyla Mostello Donnelly withdrew from the costarring role of Mary Morris,” Doyle said, “I’m happy to report Allison Deratzian of North Wales is stepping into the role. We expect the transition to be seamless and the show will be ready to open for a five-performance run August 23 through 26 as part of the Morrisville Business Association-sponsored Revolutionary Weekend.

The musical also co-stars Steve Lobis of Morrisville as Robert Morris Tom Orr of Ewing, NJ, as General Washington, Nicholas Pecht of Hamilton, New Jersey as Benjamin Franklin, James Petro of Hamilton as the Marquis de Lafayette and playwright Doyle as John Adams. NET Artistic Director Cheryl Doyle directs the cast of more than 30.
