Philadelphia's Danger After Dark is back for its 10th Anniversary and returning to its confrontational roots, showing the darkest, most bizarre cinema Philadelphia has ever seen. Starting July 9th and ending July 19th, this 10-day summer festival will be centered in exciting Old City at Philadelphia's favorite art-house cinemas, the Ritz Bourse.

Presented by the Philadelphia Film Alliance, the festival sees a return of Travis Crawford, whose vision of Danger After Dark moves beyond showing just horror films. Crawford has pieced together a film selection that celebrates Danger After Dark's 10th year with Japanese science-fiction parodies, restorations of old exploitation movies, art house material from Greece and Estonia, and a disturbing American indie thriller, among many others. These genres revert back to Danger After Dark's early days, displaying an international forum of controversial, enigmatic, and adventurous work from underground directors.

"It's great to return to programming Danger After Dark, and finding new, innovative movements in genre filmmaking from around the world," said Travis Crawford, Danger After Dark Programming Director. "Danger After Dark has -- in my mind -- always been about challenging and shocking audiences, and showing them films that they never would have the chance to see elsewhere."

Danger After Dark has been a launching point for such fan favorites as High Tension, Suicide Club, and The Descent. These films were instant crowd pleasers at Danger After Dark festivals over the past ten years and quickly grew to be shown at wider audience screenings. This year's films include:

* Big Tits Zombie 3-D: Japanese director Takao Nakano creates a wild girl-power zombie flick in 3D. Four bodacious strippers are pitted against the world's undead in this exciting new action film about "Deadly DD Cups!"
* Dogtooth: This Greek drama won the Prix Un Certain Regard Award at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival and tells the story of children who are shut off from the world who turn to their father and each other for sexual release.
* Gone With the Pope: Duke Mitchell created this film as a tribute to what Mean Streets and The Godfather could have been had they been made by those who inhabited that world. A mix of violence, sexual encounters and very un-PC humor makes this ex-con flick one to be enjoyed by any movie fan.

Danger After Dark is produced as a part of the Philadelphia Cinema Alliance genre sidebar series. Danger After Dark will be showing a series of ten films over ten days all screening at 10:00pm.

Come celebrate Danger After Dark's 10th anniversary with a series of 10 haunting films. Danger After Dark begins July 9th and ends July 19th with all screenings at the Ritz Theaters in Old City Philadelphia.

QFest 2010 is produced by the Philadelphia Cinema Alliance (PCA) along with presenting sponsors: TLAcult.com, Loews Philadelphia Hotel, Philadelphia Cultural Fund, Smirnoff Vodka, Smart Water, VitaminZero, TD Bank, Philadelphia Magazine, Bluecoat Gin, Voyeur Nightclub, Kevin J.
