It is the rare musical theatre aficionado who doesn?t have a soft spot in his heart for this intimate show, considered by many the most charming musical ever written.Georg and Amalia are two feuding clerks in a European parfumerie during the 1930's who secretly find solace in their anonymous romantic pen pals, little knowing their respective correspondents are none other than each other. Funny, intelligent, honest and sentimental, SHE LOVES ME is a warm romantic comedy with an endearing innocence and a touch of old world elegance and nostalgia, yet as universal and relevant as ever in this age of internet romances.SHE LOVES ME showcases a small but strong ensemble cast playing a range of vivid, memorable characters of all ages. Dance is mostly eschewed in favor of clever character-driven songs full of melody and personality. An ideal Christmas or Valentine?s Day show, this heart-warming score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF) and book by Joe Masteroff (CABARET) is a pleasure whatever the occasion!

THE PRODUCERS in Broadway THE PRODUCERS
STAGE 62
11/2-11/17/2012
Bialystock and Bloom! Those names should strike terror and hysteria in anyone familiar with Mel Brooks' classic cult comedy film. Now as a big Broadway musical, THE PRODUCERS once again sets the standard for modern, outrageous, in-your-face humor. It is a truly "boffo" hit, winning a record twelve Tony Awards and wowing capacity crowds night after night. The plot is simple: a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history thereby bilking their backers (all "little old ladies") out of millions of dollars. Only one thing goes awry: the show is a smash hit! The antics of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they maneuver their way fecklessly through finding a show (the gloriously offensive "Springtime For Hitler"), hiring a director, raising the money and finally going to prison for their misdeeds is a lesson in broad comic construction. At the core of the insanely funny adventure is a poignant emotional journey of two very different men who become friends. With a truly hysterical book co-written by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan (ANNIE) and music and lyrics by Mr. Brooks , THE PRODUCERS skewers Broadway traditions and takes no prisoners as it proudly proclaims itself an "equal opportunity offender!"

Shepard/BECKETT is an evening of short plays by award-winning authors Sam Shepard and Samuel Beckett, curated by the InVersion team. The production will consist of Shepards Red Cross and Killers Head and Becketts Catastrophe and Footfalls. SHEPARD/BECKETT will explore themes of power and powerlessness, control and entrapment, and disintegration and liberation as the plays protagonists grapple with very real questions of how to live in this world. Red Cross focuses on, Jim, a man seemingly in a psychiatric ward and his relationships with a fellow patient and staff maid, both of whom begin to infect Jims body and mind. Killers Head is a solo play featuring a cowboy forced to face his reckoning. In Catastrophe, a director and his assistant try to carve the perfect piece of art from a mysteriously silent protagonist. Footfalls tells the story of a woman and her elderly mother both beginning to fade into nothingness. By exploring all four shows in the same night, InVersion intends to create a production that allows for cross-pollination between the pieces while retaining each plays individual voice. Director William Steinberger is aided by an ensemble of actors, each creating multiple roles over the course of the evening. The production features Will Thompson (Hazard County, Azuka Theatre; The Well, Quince Productions); Brian Ratcliffe (Hazard County, Azuka Theatre; Myths and Monsters, Philly Improv Theater); Hannah Gold (Microcrisis, InterAct Theatre Company); and Lizzie Spellman (Awesome Alliteration: The Magical Musical, BetaMale Productions). SHEPARD/BECKETT will be presented in Walnut Street Theatres Studio 5 on November 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th at 8:00pm and November 11th and 18th at 2:00pm. Tickets are $15.00. Scenic Design by Sara Elger. Lighting Design by Rachel George. Costume Design by Violette Carb. Sound Design by Jake Hager. Dramaturgy by Rebecca LeVine. A.J. kicked British butt, shafted the Indians and smacked down the Spaniards all in the name of these United States--who cares if he didn't have permission? An exhilarating and white-knuckled look at one of our nation's founding rock stars, BLOODY BLOODY Andrew Jackson recreates and reinvents the life of "Old Hickory," from his humble beginnings on the Tennessee frontier to his days as our seventh Commander-in-Chief. It also asks the question, is wanting to have a beer with someone reason enough to elect him? What if he's really, really hot?

Cinderella in Broadway CINDERELLA
New Castle Playhouse
11/16-12/2/2012
The timeless enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium. Its recreation in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren was no less successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true, and so was a second remake in 1997, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. As adapted for the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper fits.Music by Rodgers, Richard; Book by Oscar Hammerstein II; Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein IIFor more information on New Castle Playhouse, click hereFor more information on Cinderella, click here

THE MUSIC MAN in Broadway THE MUSIC MAN
Walnut Street Theatre
11/6-1/6/2013
An affectionate paean to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson?s ?The Music Man? follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys? band he vows to organize ? this despite the fact he doesn?t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain?s fall. brbrPerfect for professional theatres, community groups, summer stock and schools alike, this award-winning, critically acclaimed Broadway classic is an all-American institution, thanks to its quirky characters, charmingly predictable dramatic situations, and one-of-a-kind, nostalgic score of rousing marches, barbershop quartets and sentimental ballads which have become popular standards. The cast features a soaring soprano ingenue, parts for young performers and children, and one of the musical theatre?s treasures, a tour de force leading role for a charismatic actor who doesn?t need to be a trained singer.
